Price learning like everything else

A set of maths problems is a task. It goes in the same list as the chores, it is worth a number of credits you choose, and it is approved the same way.

That flattening is the whole trick. Twenty minutes of reading, a page of sums and the washing up all become work with a price, and none of them is the special one that comes with a lecture attached. You stay in control of what counts and what it is worth, which means the balance can shift toward learning in whatever week you want it to.

The generator

Topics and an age band, not a label

You pick the topics, from 19 across four packs, from addition and fractions to two-step equations. You pick an age band, and how many problems you want: 5, 10, 15 or 20.

The age band is a starting point rather than a label. Each pack has three, and the app shows which ages each one covers for the topics you ticked, but nothing stops you choosing another: two children the same age are rarely at the same place in maths, and one of them always ends up bored while the other is lost.

So a nine year old who is quick can work on an older band of fractions while their older sibling works through a younger band of division, without either of them being handed a label.

The word problems

Written by the app, and read by you first

The app can write each problem as a short story on a theme you choose, so a plain subtraction becomes a question about trains, or animals, or football. The numbers and the answers stay exactly as generated, because the app writes every sentence itself, around the numbers, in the language the app is set to.

All of it runs on the device. With Apple Intelligence on your device you can also type a theme of your own, and the on-device model only picks which of the app's words fit it. No theme, no answer and no child's name is sent anywhere, which is the only reason this feature exists in an app that holds no data of yours.

You read the whole set before your child sees any of it, and you can regenerate the set if it reads badly. Word problems work on every supported device for 13 of the 19 maths topics, and they are part of Reward Study Pro.
